Our PRE-SCHOOL nursery is a non-profit and committee-run nursery with outstanding continuity and reputation. Bunnies has cared for generations of happy children since the 1970s! Our team of lovely nurturing ladies have a whopping 100 years of childcare experience between them! (Trust me, there isn't much we haven't seen!). Our lovely practitioners are the absolute pillars of our foundation and have been adored by hundreds of children. Bunnies Nursery is situated in Overton Hall, where little feet can dance, learn, explore and play without any space limitations! We have reading corners, toy car corners, playdough, themed play, outside safe play,  an outdoor climbing frame, a sandpit, a painting corner, water play, dress-up play, ride-on toys, and lots of other wonderful activities available to suit a range of ages, needs, and preferences.

Situated in the beautiful village of Overton, just 2 minutes from Morecambe, we often have exclusive visits from newly born lambs, chicks, tractors, horses and experience an abundance of unique experiences and opportunities for our children.

We are an Ofsted-registered pre-school that put our children at the heart of everything we do. We have been caring for, and supporting children aged 2-5, for over 30+ years in Morecambe, Middleton, and Overton. We build strong relationships and trust with our children through exploring imaginative play, stimulation, and have lots of fun along the way!

We have fantastic links with Overton Primary School, Mossgate Primary School, Trumacar, Grovsner Park School and other local schools. We have an excellent reputation for providing excellent care, offering progressive and well-assessed transitioning from preschool to primary school, all at your little one's pace. We are often invited to pop along to the local school sports day, so the children nearing school age can experience school grounds for the first time, and have fun with their friends.

If you would be interested in a place at Bunnies Nursery, please fill in the form here, and our manager, Lynn, will call you back to arrange for you to come and visit our wonderful nursery.

We know that sending your little ones off for their first days of nursery can be a daunting experience for parents and caretakers. We will send you pictures and updates of their very first day with us, so you can have the reassurance that they are safe and having a wonderful time!

Space

We have the full run of Overton Hall. Our exceptional space ensures children can feel free and have space they need, whilst also being in a safe contained environment.

Exploring Nature

At Bunnies we love exploring nature, all things great and small! We explore the wonders and beauty of nature around us.

Suprise Visitors

Lucky to be situated in a village, we often have visits from lambs, tractors, bunnies, hedgehogs, chicks, butterflies, farmers, frogs, goats.. even turtles!

Arts & Crafts

You'll often find us doing a range of arts & crafts, from cutting, sticking, glitter, painting and lots more! This helps children become familiar with colours, penmanship, and creativity.

Outdoor Fun

We continue learning through all seasons and enjoy weather-appropriate activities, exploring the flowers in spring, the warmth in summer, the golden fallen leaves in autumn, and the crisp snow in winter.

Local Trips Out & Exploring

At Bunnies, from time to time, we arrange, visit and explore new environments. (With lots of adult supervision and safety vests) New environments are engaging and exciting!

Learning

At Bunnies, we love learning through lots of different methods, such as through experience and hands-on learning, modeling, role play - as well as other methods such as reading, drawing and painting.

Imaginative Play

The children love imaginative play, and helps broaden their young minds, as well as encourages creativity, but again... fun!

Exploring & Experimenting

We always have a range of different activities planned every week, with new themes and new ideas to get the children thinking, engaging and assessing, but most importantly amazement and laughter.

Trying New Things

At Bunnies, we love making foods, and exploring foods, the colour, the consistency, the texture, the taste. It always gets little ones' cogs turning and encourages the introduction of new foods.

Problem Solving

Problem-solving helps to equipt children with skills such as perseverance, trial and error, and exploration.

Younger Children

We always make sure our activities are planned and age appropriate, so all children are included and can be part of the activities.

As a nervous parent, Bunnies have been an absolute God send to me. Lynn, and her team of lovely ladies, have been nothing short of miraculous. My sons have tried things I never thought they would, they've experienced wonderful things and always come home full of awe, shortly followed by a nap from all the busy play they've had that day! I can't thank Bunnies enough for caring for my children like they were their very own.
